The bubble effect visible on the lamp is a technique used by Murano glass masters; his goal is to decorate and highlight the gold leaf fused with Murano glass in the best possible way.
The gold used is 24K, as it is able to withstand the high temperatures, 1100 °, of the ovens containing Murano glass while retaining its purity and beauty.
